Dr. Sushant Jha
Technical Advisor

Dr. Sushant Jha has worked on several Department of Defense programs for the past 15 years; most spent as an on-site contractor in the AFRL. He is currently working as a principal materials engineer with the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI). He has more than 15 years of experience in materials fatigue and durability in aerospace applications, probabilistic fatigue life prediction modeling, and data science. His life prediction models have been adopted in several key AFRL-led programs and in the Federal Aviation Administration sponsored code DARWIN. Recently, he has led the efforts to develop methods for additively manufactured parts under the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center programs conducted by UDRI. Dr. Jha’s research is being adopted to optimize the additive manufacturing (AM) process and qualification of fatigue-critical AM parts.
